Today turned out to be a pretty good day amazingly. It started out slow. I am NOT a morning person and today I just sat around and dozed on the couch most of the morning. Of course my kids were sitting on me while I was doing this. Literally-Matthew was sitting on my stomach watching SpongeBob while I was lying on my back dozing. Finally around lunchtime I got up, got some caffeinated and got busy! So this afternoon I ignored my children fighting and thoroughly cleaned the living room, vacuumed half a bag of cheese crackers off the floor, folded and put away 3 loads of laundry and did a dishes. I am not this productive every day I admit, but it was either that or deal with my kids, who were driving me crazy!
After my husband got home from work, he saw that I was frustrated with the kids and offered to let me have the evening off. So I took myself out to dinner and went to Target and went to the YMCA to exercised I got in 30 minutes on the treadmill and did my weightlifting too. 7300 lbs. Somehow I never remember how good I feel after exercising. I really have to remember this and get to the YMCA more often!
I forgot to mention that our cat had kittens last Sunday evening. There are 4 of them and they are simply adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kids love them and check on them several times a day. Even Matthew will tug on my hand and say "kittens mommy!" They are living in the closet in my girls' bedroom, which of course thrills the girls.
I took Rose to Walmart recently to buy school supplies and pick out a new outfit for school. Wow! What an experience. She is growing up and is getting more particular about her clothes. She wanted an outfit that made her look cute. It had to be Hannah Montana of course. Phew! I'm not sure I'm up for having teenage girls. Rachel was along and kept suggesting outfits to her big sister. And Rose would reject them - "No way! Too babyish!" She's growing up fast - 8 going on 14. I'm not sure I'm ready for this!
